DIY Room Decoration

Hey guys! Welcome back to Fashionista Paradise! Today I'm going to be showing a cute DIY project you can make from stuff around the house to make your room look super cute! Okay. so the craft I will be showing you how to make today is, a recycled water bottle chandelier! Most of the materials needed are inexpensive and can probably be found around your house! Later this week or next week, I will be posting how to make DIY glitter lanterns for your room so be sure to check that out!  Remember to comment below and let me know what you think of this project or leave any suggestions for future posts! Also take two seconds to become a member and join the Fashionista community! Anyways, let's get started!

Water Bottle Chandelier

Materials

  • Empty Water Bottles ( I find the half pint ones work best but it's your choice)
  • Metal Wire
  • Spray Paint ( colors of your choice)
  • Wire Hangers ( this is the cheaper alternative to metal rings)
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon ( optional)

Procedure

  1. To start off, remove any wrappers that may be on the water bottles and dump out the excess water.
  2. If you have regular sized bottles, cut them in half.
  3. If you have half pint water bottles, cut about an inch off the bottom all the way around
  4. Next, cut even strips vertically as far as you can up to the top most point of the water bottle
  5. Flatten out the strips to give your water bottle a flower like appearance

This is how the water bottles should turn out after step 5

    6. SPRAY PAINT! ( do this outside on the grass or in your driveway with some cardboard or paper
underneath so you don't make a mess!
    7.  Create two metal rings for your chandelier by bending wire hangers into a circle. Make sure that
one is smaller than the other!
This is how the wire rings should look ------->

It's okay if they are not perfect! Mine are super bumpy and uneven!

    8.  Using the metal wire, attach your flowers to the wrings creating two flower "wreaths."

     9. Now you are ready to join the two wreaths using about four pieces of wire.

    10. Finally, attach 4 long pieces of ribbon or wire to the top wreath so you can hang up your chandelier and you are done!

This project will look great in the spring and summer to add some color to your room! You might want to try cutting the water bottle strips in curves to resemble flower petals a bit more. ( I didn't do that but it would look cute) Also, try cutting the excess wire off the rings with pliers. I hope you guys liked this project and be sure to comment below! Bye!
